Software Increases Visibility Across All Supply Chain Systems

(SALINA, KANSAS—June 6, 2015)  Great Plains Manufacturing, one of the largest, privately held manufacturers of agricultural implements, announced today the deployment of a new Supply Chain Management solution (SCM) from Viewlocity to support its supplier management requirements for their Procure-to-Pay process.

“The ability to have all of the vendor-related data at our fingertips and reduce the amount of manual communication was a major benefit to our organization,” said Don Wendt, Corporate Purchasing Manager of Great Plains Manufacturing. “With the Viewlocity SCM solution, interfaced to our Friedman Frontier ERP suite, we can effectively support the procurement requirements of our growing network of suppliers.”

Viewlocity’s Control Tower Platform (CTP) gives companies one place to view and act on data from disparate supply chain systems including enterprise (ERP), warehouse (WMS) and transportation (TMS) management systems. By providing full visibility across multiple systems, locations, partners and processes, it is easier for companies to effectively manage supply chain costs and risks.

“When exceptions occur, say one supplier can’t deliver on time, customers can easily check the inventory of their other supplier-partners and fill the gap without causing a disruption in delivery to customers,” explains Mike Parrilli, VP of Sales of Viewlocity.
